Inclement Weather Closing and Delays

As winter weather approaches, we want to remind you of The Kids Studio (TKS) procedures for weather-related closings, delays, and early releases.

TKS's operational status is determined by evaluating both local and regional weather conditions, which impact the availability of our faculty who commute from a broad geographic area, as well as projected student attendance.

Status updates are promptly communicated through the Procare app, TKS's Facebook and Instagram pages, and reported to the KNWA and 40/29 news outlets.

Important Illness Policy Reminders

With an increase in illnesses in our community, we want to gently remind you of our current illness policy.

If one of the following illnesses is confirmed in your child's classroom, an illness notification will be posted on the classroom door. This notice will detail the illness and the symptoms to watch for:

  • Strep Throat
  • Whooping Cough
  • RSV
  • Pink Eye
  • Hand, Foot, Mouth
  • Influenza

Find our complete illness policy here as it is posted on our website.

If you suspect your child is ill, please keep them home until they have either been cleared by a doctor or have been symptom-free for 24 hours. We appreciate your cooperation as we navigate this sick season.

Our Commitment

To minimize the spread of illness we diligently attend to the following:

  • Daily Disinfecting of Hard Surfaces using Clorox wipes and Persue (a disinfectant spray) during:
    • Opening/Closing
    • Nap times
    • Meal times
  • Washing/Disinfecting Toys using the washer and dishwasher.
  • Mopping with disinfectant.
  • Professional Cleaning Crew comes in after hours for additional cleaning and disinfecting.
  • Building Sanitization by a professional cleaning crew throughout the sick season.

PreK 100's Celebration on Friday, Feb. 6th

When: On Friday, February 6th special activities will begin sharply at 8:30 am and conclude at 4:00 pm. We will be engaging in challenging, fun, and educational 100th-day themed activities throughout the entire school day!

Dress Code: We encourage all our TKS PreK special agents to come dressed for the occasion! Choose one of the following creative options:

Special Agent: Gear up as a secret agent with trench coats, sunglasses, and mysterious briefcases.

100-Years Old: Transform into a wise and wonderful centenarian! Think gray hair, reading glasses, robes, and walking canes.

100-Days Shirt: Wear a creative t-shirt decorated with 100 items—stickers, pom-poms, buttons, or anything else your agent can find!

Donations: All donated supplies should be dropped off by Wednesday, February 5th. This allows our celebration committee enough time to organize, prepare, and set up all the thrilling activities for our young agents.
