Our PreK students had an absolutely fantastic time celebrating the momentous 100’s Day! The classroom was buzzing with excitement and creativity as we marked the 100th day of the school year.
It was a joy to see the incredible amount of effort and imagination that went into everyone’s special 100’s day outfits. From shirts decorated with 100 colorful pom-poms to hats adorned with 100 googly eyes, the children's ingenuity truly shone!
The day was packed with fun, hands-on, and educational activities centered around the number 100. Highlights of our celebration included:
Creating a 100’s Day Monster Masterpiece: The goal is to sneak in with those crayons—choose your finest, sharpest, and most vibrant ones—and strategically color splash each monster limb with its covert color and number. This exciting activity combines clandestine fun with essential learning.
Math and Number Sense: The children sharpened their number recognition and sequencing skills by filling in missing numbers on a hundreds chart. They also used a color-by-number key to reveal a hidden image, discovering the number 100 in the process.
"100 Days Smarter" Self-Portraits: The children celebrated their learning journey by drawing detailed self-portraits of themselves as they imagine they will look when they are "100 days smarter."
Special Agent Work: Using their special 100’s Day magnifying glasses, the students transformed into special agents. Their mission involved searching the classroom to pair the sneaky number with its letter buddy!
100 Treats Feast: The celebration culminated in a delightful snack time where we counted out and enjoyed exactly 100 small treats, a sweet reward for all their hard work and counting throughout the day!
It was a memorable day of learning, counting, and celebrating a major milestone together!
